Meet Andrea

Hi, I am Andrea Torrens, a quilter, designer, teacher, and  bag maker! I have been sewing since I was a child, but developed a passion for quilting some 20 years ago. I joined the Beaconsfield Quilters’ Guild in 2000 and have been an active member on the executive board for 18 years, including the positions of President, and Program Coordinator. I have attended numerous seminars and taken many quilting classes with internationally renowned instructors, and have exhibited my quilts locally and provincially.

I love to design my own quilts and develop my own techniques, but more than anything I love to share my knowledge and expertise with others who are curious about quilting. Over the past 15 years, I have taught locally and provincially, and now thanks to Zoom, I can teach internationally! My focus is to share the tips and tricks that I have picked up and developed over my years at my sewing machine, to help others  improve their precision in quiltmaking and to make the process most efficient. Let me share my passion with you!

My husband and I recently retired from our “day jobs” and moved just off the Island of Montreal, where our views of the adjacent river fuel our creativity! Our two children are never far from our thoughts.
